Compact Dry™ LM (Listeria monocytogenes)
It is important to detect Listeria monocytogenes in food products and the food environment to limit the possibility of food poisoning. A mixing and dilution culture method has been widely used to determine microbial count.
LM Listeria monocytogenes Box of 100.
In compliance with regulatory requirements, a USDA permit (VS 16-3) is mandatory for shipments from Canada to the USA due to the inclusion of peptone as an animal byproduct.
Compact Dry LM detects Listeria monocytogenes in both food and environmental samples. The plates contain chromogenic substrate. Red colonies with or without blue precipitate around the colony appear for presumptive L. monocytogenes.
Colonies sampled from the Compact Dry plate can be used for confirmation of L. monocytogenes by inoculation of colonies onto selective media.
