Beef Extract

Beef Extract is a dehydrated powder of bovine tissue normally replacing infusion of meat in its use as a nutrient source for various culture media.

It supplies amino acids, peptides, carbohydrates, vitamins, and minerals, and is especially indicated for fermentation reactions due to its independence from fermentable substances.

In compliance with regulatory requirements, a USDA permit (VS 16-3) is mandatory for shipments from Canada to the USA due to the inclusion of peptone, an animal byproduct.
