Pseudomonas F Agar
Pseudomonas F Agar is an agar medium used to detect fluorescein production by Pseudomonas spp. Tryptein and Meat Peptone provide nutrients like amino acids, peptides, carbohydrates, vitamins, and minerals.
In compliance with regulatory requirements, a USDA permit (VS 16-3) is mandatory for shipments from Canada to the USA due to the inclusion of peptone, an animal byproduct.

Glycerin favors pigment formation and Dipotassium Phosphate stimulates the preferential production of fluorescein over pyocyanin and pyorubrin. Agar is the gelifying agent.
