Reveal® 3-D Total Milk
Reveal® 3-D for Total Milk offers results in just 5 minutes and can be used in virtually any environment to screen for milk residue (casein or whey) with environmental swabs, liquid products (such as juices and sorbet) and clean-in-place rinses.
The Reveal 3-D line of food allergen tests kits is uniquely designed to guard against overs aturation and false negative results, with results displayed in three visual lines on the lateral flow test strip.
A control line assures the test is working properly, and two other lines outline non detectable, low, and high levels of total milk.
Reveal 3-D for Total Milk Allergen (Neogen item 8479) includes:
- 1 foil pouch, containing 10 Reveal 3-D for Total Milk Allergen devices
- 10 sachets containing 4 mL Type 8 Extraction Buffer
- 10 sample tubes and caps
- 10 individually packaged, sterile swabs with break-off tips
Assay Principles
The Reveal 3-D format is a single-step lateral flow immuno-chromatographic assay. The extract is wicked through a reagent zone, which contains antibodies specific for the target allergen conjugated to coloured particles. If allergen is present, it will be captured by the conjugated antibodies.
The allergen antibody-particle complex then is wicked onto a membrane which contains a zone of antibody specific for the target allergen. This zone captures the complex allowing the particles to concentrate and form a visible line. If no target allergen is present, no line will form.
