Nutrient Agar (2 %) (RTU)

Nutrient agar at 2% is used in food microbiology, in water testing and in animal health for the culture of a wide variety of microorganisms. It is used for colony purification, a critical step in the protocols of identification in many standards.

It is suitable for the culture of bacteria that have no particular nutritional requirements.

Available as ready-to-melt medium: 50 tubes of 18 ml.

Also available as dehydrated medium (BK185HA): 500 g bottle.

In compliance with regulatory requirements, a USDA permit (VS 16-3) is mandatory for shipments from Canada to the USA due to the inclusion of peptone, an animal byproduct.
